Visual Effect Visual Effect Reel Black Swan

"TRON: Legacy" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" were not nominated in the category of Best Visual Effects at the Oscars this year and really work on both films is worthy, in my humble opinion, to be listed in this category. One usually tends to associate this class with great action films or Sci-Fi, those that are released in the summer. But what he's up to The Social Network, just to give an example of a relative small film with a good visual effect: Winklevoss twins? -Ok, ok, I know you see it says this is something that serves to support the development of the film (?) Whatever ... the fact is that there are many times that these effects are so subtle that even perceives, and sometimes they are so beautiful that we can not stop admiring ... Example: Darren Aronofsky ' Black Swan . Yes, watch the video below showing some of the 220 VFX shots used in the movie and, believe me ... quite impressive.

Oscar Nominations and Disappointments

At this time, as the world knows who are the nominees in each category of the Oscars. What the world does not know (yet) is what I think about the nominations. So the Post.

This year is very competitive for movies as nominations are concerned. Quality and Quantity ($) are highlighted in the nominees to be recognized by the academy and also the public in ticket sales (see the following link : 2010 OSCAR: Full Chart of Noms & Grosses .)

Before my remarks, a summary of the nominations for films:

The King's Speech - 12 nominations
True Grit - 10 nominations
The Social Network - 8 nominations
Inception - 8 nominations
The Fighter - 7 nominations
127 Hours - 6 nominations
Toy Story 3 to 5 nominations
Black Swan - 5 nominations
Winter's Bone - 4 nominations
The Kids are All Right - 4 nominations

BEST FILM
I agree with all the nominees but someone wants to say that The Town should be on the list, I do not think alike. For "Inception" these awards can be like the premise of the movie: a Dream Within a Dream Within a Dream Within a -taco- dream ... For those who have little numbers since 1981, every film that has taken this award has also been nominated for Best Editing, a category that does not include "Inception" and according to this data, potential winners of this item is reduced to 5. BEST DIRECTOR

NOLAN!, You left out again!, What is it about academia against you?! Nolan is the only nominated by the DGA did not receive an Oscar nomination, "coincidentally" the Coen brothers were not nominated by the DGA. That's what you've to add that Nolan is nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Best Film ... is one of the many inconsistencies in the awards.

Lack of logic in the nominations: Awards OSCAR ... for everything else there is MASTERCARD

Indeed this if it hurts a lot. Not because Nolan has become my favorite director, not because "Inception" out my favorite movie of 2010, but by the tendency of the Academy not to value a fresh and original idea and everything that is not a resemblance to a theme of American society. 8 of the 10 Best Picture nominees are films based on scripts adapted, remakes or based on someone's life

BEST ACTOR
This really makes me laugh: Mark Walbergh is the lead in "The Fighter" and was not nominated for Best Actor ... without embago, see the nominations the film received ... another blow is Ryan Gosling for "Blue Valantine" that was left out, not to mention my friend Leonardo DiCaprio for "Shutter Island" BEST ACTRESS

I think not a lot here. This is the award for Natalie Portman, whoever they are competing against
lose BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

Andrew Garfield was more vital than Jesse Eisenberg, for "The Social Network" and was not nominated in this line .... pffff! BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS

Mila Kunis Sorry, you will have to settle for the lesbian scene you did with Natalie Portman BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY

It's hard to look at this list and see "Black Swan" among the nominees. It just makes me want to mourn. Not to mention "The Town" which was almost completely ignored the awards, but I can understand why. BEST SCREENPLAY ADAPTER

The Social Network ... I can not deny that when you hear "Hey! going to make a movie about Facebook! Insurance, put the face of WTF?!

So, if anything, this film is a beautiful Screenplay. BEST ANIMATED FILM

I thought "Despeciable me" or "Tangled" would be here Buuut nuuuunca "The Illusionist" BEST EDITING

How Inception may be nominated for Best Picture and Best Editing not when the ISSUE in this film is crucial development of the story?!, and Once Again, this is the only film that was nominated by the American Cinema Editors and has no Oscar nomination ... Academia Oh, you've done it again!;

for those with little numbers: from 1981 2 of 3 films that won Best Film, Best Editing won Best Cinematography

Insert "Shutter Island" in this category BEST VISUAL EFFECTS

Hereafter What the hell does not Scott Pilgrim vs. The World!? WTF!? more Iron Man 2 was not anything spectacular to be on that list either, but instead should be TRON: COSTUME DESIGN Legay

Just 2 words: T "RON: Legacy"

BEST MAKE-UP
If there is a category screaming everywhere, "Alice in Wonderland" was this ... BEST SOUND EDITING

is that none of the members of the Academy was "The Town"?! BEST SCORE

Sorry Daft Punk
